Five cruises on the fjord aboard the historic coaster Caroline S—four 1-hour cruises and one 2-hour sunset cruise. Reservations are required.
The Caroline S—the beautiful historic coaster—is Friday’s floating landmark in Kalundborg Havn. The ship is a living maritime treasure, and on May 15, it will make five trips out onto the fjord so you can experience the town, the coastline, and the fjord’s changing light from the deck.
Caroline S was built as a working ship and carried cargo between Denmark’s ports for many years. Today, a volunteer crew keeps the ship seaworthy as a maritime cultural heritage site. On the sailing trips, you can chat with the crew, hear stories about the ship, and experience what it feels like to be on a coaster. It’s Kalundborg’s maritime heritage—in motion.
The 7:30 PM sunset cruise is Friday’s quiet highlight—the fjord bathed in golden light, a picnic basket on deck, and an hour and a half on the water before Kings of Rock takes the stage.
First departure of the day - perfect for families who want to get on the water before lunch. 1-hour trip on the Kalundborg Fjord, max 12 passengers.
Afternoon tour - combine with the library or museum before or after. 1-hour tour, DKK 125 (children DKK 75).
Late-afternoon tour - falls well before the Onkel Reje & Erna show at Klostertorvet at 4 pm. 1-hour tour on the fjord.
Last 1-hour tour before sunset - coincides nicely with tastings at Vinhus & SKu00d8L starting at 17.
2-hour atmospheric sunset cruise in golden light. Picnic OK, beer/wine/water sold on board. The visual highlight of Friday.
