Family Day. A Treasure Hunt through town, Pirate Princess Klara with balloon animals, the Caroline S-koret singing from the deck, and three new boat tours on the fjord.
Saturday, May 16, is Family Day at the Sørøverfest. If Friday was the big, intense day, Saturday is the warm, festive finale where everything revolves around the children, families, and the shared adventure in the city streets. From the morning’s treasure hunt to the afternoon’s final boat ride, Kalundborg is turned upside down.
The highlight of the day is the big Treasure Hunt through Kalundborg—five stations staffed by pirates, a story about a stolen flag that needs to be recovered, and a flag-raising ceremony at Solskinspladsen at approximately 1:45 p.m. Participation is free, but a ticket is required—the start time is selected when booking.
All day Saturday, you can meet several quirky pirate characters in town: Maximus—the fire-breathing jester pirate full of mischief and funny antics; Solaima and her cousin Sørøver Swärd—cute cuddly bears who wander the streets several times throughout the day; and old pirate Peter, who walks around ensuring peace and order in the town. Also keep an eye out for the drawing workshop, where children can put together their own coloring book with drawings from the day’s events and take it home.
