Friday, May 15, is the biggest day of the Sørøverfest. From morning to night, Kalundborg buzzes with activity—the library, the museum, the harbor, Klostertorvet, and the entire downtown area are all decked out in pirate flags. This is the day when the whole crew can dive into the program and experience the festival in full swing.
The program runs from 10 a.m., when pirate stories are told at the library and the museum hands out pirate certificates, until 9:30 p.m., when Kings of Rock wraps up the day at Klostertorvet. In between, the Caroline S will sail four 1-hour trips on the fjord, Onkel Reje & Erna will put on a wild family show, and Jumpin’ Jacks will entertain in the streets.
Highlights you won’t want to miss
- Caroline S boat tours — four 1-hour trips on the fjord plus an atmospheric 2-hour Sunset Cruise at 7:30 PM. Book well in advance (max 12 people per trip)
- Onkel Reje & Erna Show at 4:00 PM on Klostertorvet — free outdoor children’s show with laughter and silliness
- Tastings at Vinhus & SKØL starting at 5:00 PM — the perfect adult activity
- Shops open until 8:00 PM in the city center
- Kings of Rock at 8:00 PM on Klostertorvet — cover songs from the ’80s and ’90s, beer truck from Kalundborg Rocker
