The festival’s biggest day. From “Pirate Stories” at the library at 10 a.m. to “Kings of Rock” at Klostertorvet at 9:30 p.m. — Caroline S boat tours, Onkel Reje, food tastings, street performances, and live music throughout the city.
Friday, May 15, is the biggest day of the Sørøverfest. From morning to night, Kalundborg buzzes with activity—the library, the museum, the harbor, Klostertorvet, and the entire downtown area are all decked out in pirate flags. This is the day when the whole crew can dive into the program and experience the festival in full swing.
The program runs from 10 a.m., when pirate stories are told at the library and the museum hands out pirate certificates, until 9:30 p.m., when Kings of Rock wraps up the day at Klostertorvet. In between, the Caroline S will sail four 1-hour trips on the fjord, Onkel Reje & Erna will put on a wild family show, and Jumpin’ Jacks will entertain in the streets.
Friday has a lot to offer, and some activities overlap. Use the program list at the top of the page to click on each item and see exact times, meeting places, and any registration requirements. Activities with limited space (Caroline S, craft workshop) are first-come, first-served—book in advance.
